My book covers are showing my versions of famous events. This is Space Center with my characters starting on their journey to space.

I wasn’t trying to make an exact replica, but more a similar enough version to know what you are looking at. The main build was MDF sheet with cardboard for panels and drain covers for wall vents.

In my version, they all board a trolley to travel to the launch tower. This was a simple kit bash out of wood and kit parts. The gag in this is that they only travel a couple of meters to get to the launch tower.

In the background is a shed filled with many assorted gas bottles. I made this look like an old clunky shed with a corrugated roof. All the bottles came from plastic kits.
